Use APLAI in ChatGPT Work
Starting in Chat? Switch to Work for APLAI’s supported browser application flow. Chat can discuss jobs and help with writing. APLAI’s guided browser workflow needs ChatGPT Work with APLAI connected and the required browser tools available.
Start in three steps
- Choose Work. Open ChatGPT and select Work in the Chat / Work selector when it is available. On the web, this selector appears above a new conversation. Start a new Work conversation if your current chat does not offer switching.
- Find and connect APLAI. Open Plugins and search for APLAI. If it is available to your account, open its details, install or connect it as prompted, and review the requested permissions. After setup, start a new Work conversation. You can select APLAI by typing @APLAI when it appears.
- Send this starter prompt. Copy the sentence below into your Work conversation.

This link opens ChatGPT. Check that Work is selected before sending the prompt.
Cannot find Work or APLAI?
Work, plugins and browser tools depend on your account and workspace access. APLAI is currently being tested through limited access; it may not appear in your plugin directory. If APLAI is missing, contact APLAI support for current access guidance. A website link does not install APLAI or enable Work.
What happens next?
Bring your résumé and a job you want to apply for. APLAI helps prepare career facts, tailored documents and application answers for review. The current guided flow focuses on supported public Lever, Greenhouse and Ashby postings. Signed-in LinkedIn and Indeed applications are not currently supported by this flow.
Review your information and the exact application before any final submission. A prepared application is not a submitted application; completion requires an employer confirmation.
Why switch from Chat?
OpenAI describes Chat as a place for answers and drafts, and Work as a way to complete tasks using tools. Plugins can be available in both; APLAI’s supported browser application workflow uses Work. This help page cannot see or change the mode of your ChatGPT conversation.
